Christmas in January

I finally finished my Christmas ornament for our handmade Christmas tree. Each year every memeber of my immediate family makes an ornament for this special, somewhat smaller, tree. This year I was sick during my vacation and I didn't do nearly enough things as I would have liked...i.e. finishing the ornament in DECEMBER. Anyway, it had been ages since I have done embroidery, but it was so much fun. I think I might have to alternate between knitting and this. Anyway, it will look really cute on the tree for next year!

Knitted Bag

Last year James' aunt had given me some yarn and the pattern for this fabulous tote. She had made me one for Christmas and then was kind enough to send me the pattern! Here is the purse before it goes into the wash and shrinks to a third of the size. Right now when I put it over my arm the purse falls to my waist. I am really anxious to felt it and hopefully I will have time to do it soon. Stay tuned for the final result!

Type pillows

I really don't have a good excuse as to why I have been slacking on putting some new posts up on my blog. I have a bunch of interesting art things I have done recently, but I have just been so busy. Anyway, I am back and will hopefully be posting with more regularity in the coming months.

Here are the type pillows that I have been working on as of late. I used letterpress letters and some thrifted fabric for the backs... and voilà!
