Weekend of calligraphy

This weekend was the kickoff weekend of Heather's wedding envelopes. I haven't done calligraphy in a little over a year and it always amazes me how quickly it comes back to me. My hand just sort of knows how it do it. I wish I knew how to do more fonts, but this is my signature look.

and I'm in here, too!

Now I have a decision to make. I never thought I would have a choice!!!

Inspiration from a bathroom stall

This past weekend and few days were spent in Washington D.C. and Baltimore. I went back to visit MICA (Maryland Institue College of Art) where I have been accepted into their MFA Graphic Design program. (I am sure most of you already knew this.) I absolutely LOVED LOVED LOVED the school and the students and everyone else I met there. The exciting thing is that I am the winner of their merit scholarship! I think my mom nearly passed out when I told her the good news. :)

This was a drawing that was on the inside of a bathroom stall. Only at an art school would you find inspiration in the bathroom. I love the cute illustration and the thought bubble!!

Still here

Hello all. I feel like time has been slipping away from me as of late. I have been working on a lot of personal projects, but I don't want to show photos until I am all finished! In the meantime, here is an adorable photo of Annie from the weekend. It was 80 degrees and Annie was trying to stay cool by sleeping on my mom's violets.
