Here is a sign that is on Temple Street in Long Beach. I always drive by it and think to myself how I need to take a picture so everyone else can see the beautiful sign that I see several times a week. I think it looks like Arabic, but I am not 100% sure. I love the pronounced ascenders and descenders and how the font has calligraphic elements to it. Notice how each of the letters sort of seem to blend into the next? Stay tuned for more type studies...

I could imagine a whole fabric pattern inspired by the beautiful shapes of those letters. Good find!

Since it's a Cambodian church, I am guessing the characters are Khmer.

I guess I don't have a poetic soul when it comes to fonts; it reminds me of the opening credits for Futurama.
