Knitted L

The L in the garden

I finally finished my first knitted letter! I feel very relieved since it took me nearly 3 months to finish such a simple letterform. However, I learned so much doing the mitered corner that now I can tackle socks! I really want to knit all the letters in the alphabet, but I figured I would start with L because it's a simple form. Letters like J, G, and S are somewhat daunting, but I am confident that I could figure out something. Maybe all the letters wouldn't have to be made out of foam and then covered, but really it does look like something you would by in the store. Even my knitting genius friend, Amy, couldn't believe how well it turned out. Stay tuned for more letters... but it might take me awhile! I'm slow but sure!!!

LINZ!!! This is amazing! I'm so glad to see a photo of it. You should be very proud of yourself. You are becoming quite the knitting genius yourself!
